  • NSPCC Number Day Friday 3rd Feb 2023

Tue 07 Feb 2023 Mrs Kitts

The whole school celebrated Number Day in style or maybe I should say in various styles!  Thank you to all children, parents and staff who dressed up or helped children to dress up.  The effort to make home made costumes was incredible and I particularly loved how the costumes reflected resources we use in lessons including Numicon, dice, Numberblocks and even a pencil alongside the many Times Tables Rockstars inspired outfits.

The children in various age groups participated in number hunts, mental arithmetic orienteering, additional TTRS lunchtime sessions and the TTRS NSPCC rock contest.  The Year 3 children solved a church bellringing problem by finding all the ways in which 3 and 6 bells could be rung without repetition then they 'rang' a three boomwhacker solution in Celebration assembly.
