Our school day runs from 8:45am until 3:15pm.

This includes a 15 minute morning break for years 2-6. 

The whole school (EYFS-Year 6) have an hour break for lunch.  

The day is 6.5 hours, totalling 32.5 hours a week.

We also offer wrap around care sessions before and after school.

Playtimes

All children are encouraged to play outside, with numerous activities and toys available to them. We ask that all children have a coat and wellies in school during the winter months, and sun cream and hats in the summer, so that they can take advantage of our school’s outside spaces throughout the year.

Reception class children have break times which are flexible and responsive to the children’s needs. Younger children also enjoy an afternoon playtime.

During playtimes our children are supervised by teachers and Teaching Assistants. Whilst at play we expect the children to follow our Behaviour for Learning Policy and staff will continue to support children with their behaviour choices . All Teaching Assistants will have completed the Emergency First Aid training course.

The children have access to a variety of supervised games including skipping and a variety of resources to encourage active playtimes in line with the principles of the healthy school award.
