Our school day starts at 8.45am and finishes at 3.15pm. 

Class Organisation

At St Nicholas C of E VC Primary School we have 3 classes.  The make up of our classes will vary according to the size of our cohorts in any given year.  For 2023 - 2024 we will have four classes in the mornings and three in the afternoons:

Morning Classes:

Holly Class   -  Reception (EYFS) & Year 1 

Oak Classroom - Year 2

Willow Class - Year 3 & 4         

Thorn Class  -  Year 5 & 6   

Afternoon Classes:

Holly Class   -  Reception (EYFS) & Year 1 

Willow Class - Year 2 & 3

Thorn Class - Year 4, 5 & 6       

PE and Sports Premium Funding

The government is continuing to provide additional funding to improve the provision of physical education (PE) and sport in primary schools.  

For the academic year 2022-23 this funding was £16,810.

The motto that underpins our aim to encourage all children to engage in an active lifestyle is: 'more children active more of the time'.  This extra funding enables us to do this by being able to offer a greater range of sports opportunities for participation and competition and specialist PE coaching for more children as well as additional equipment and professional development for our staff team.
