PE and Forest School

Children will not be changing clothes at school so will need to come to school wearing appropriate clothing for PE. Our aim is to hold as many of these lessons as possible outside so please dress your children appropriately for the weather.   PE will be on Monday and Thursday this term.  On alternate Wednesdays pupils will need to come dressed in clothing suitable for Forest School work with Mrs Chillitupa.  The dates can be found below.

Reading

Pupils should read 5 times a week, either with an adult or independently.  Pupils in Thorn Class are expected to take responsibility for completing their Reading Record showing what they have been reading.  Please could parents sign this once a week.  Reading Records must be brought into school every Friday.

Spelling

Please continue to help your child learn their spellings each week.  The home learning booklets are there to provide a structure.  New spelling booklets will be sent home on Monday.  Please let me know if there are any problems.

Week beginning 26.02.24- Week One in spelling booklets.

Times Tables

By the end of Year 4 all pupils are expected to know the times tables up to 12 x 12 and be able to recall these accurately and fluently.  We will focus on a different times table each week in school and please encourage learning at home either through Times Tables Rockstars or other methods.

Week beginning 26.02.24 - 9, 11 and 12 times tables focus
