  • Dressed by the Kids Day

    Fri 29 Apr 2016
On Wednesday 27th April Fran asked whether I would take part in Dressed by the Kids Day on Friday 29th.  With very little notice, she quickly organised a design challenge for all the pupils. There were some interesting ideas for outfits for me, all very colourful (they know me so well!) On Thursday I bought in a selection of items for Fran to choose and outfit for me from, which my own children had picked out a home. The photos show what she came up with.  I kept the whole outfit on all day, including a trip to the supermarket and taking my children to their swimming lessons.  Thank you to everyone who made a donation on the day!

  • Woodland Wanderers Session 2

    Thu 21 Apr 2016

This week Holly Class looked at the differences and similarities of different types of animals.

We looked at sheep, dogs and ponies.

We also talked about what you call an animal that eats meat or veg or both and sorted some pictures into groups depending on what they ate.

Afterwards we went on a bug hunt and found all sorts of insects!

  • Holly Class at Woodland Wanderers

    Tue 19 Apr 2016

Wednesday saw Holly Class enjoying their first Woodland Wanderers.

The weather was gorgeous and we set off to Bluebell Woods after lunch.

The theme this block is Humans and Animals in the environment and we stopped and looked at the sheep and lambs on the way.

Mrs Lander had found a very large footprint which we compared to Jake's paw and also our hands - the footprint was a lot bigger! We worked out how big the animal must have been to have left the print and most of us guessed that it must be as big as a lion.

Next we went on a search for animal tracks, we found all sorts of clues to what animals live in the woodland.

After squash and biscuits we all headed off back to school.
